Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips Review

Hello lovelies!

If you've read my blog for a while then you know I swear by Vaseline. It's my hero against chapped lips in winter. Last week I went to Target, and ventured into the skincare/bodycare aile and found this. I had never seen it before, and since it was less than $2 I bought it.

As the regular Vaseline Lip Theraphy, it promises to hydrate and smooth your lips while giving you a rosy tint.
The  back of the packaging
I love the color it shows in the jar. It doesn't have any glitter so that is a plus for me. As a bonus it even smells like roses!

Here is my lips without the product and with it.
As you can see is not a major difference. I can barely see any color. Perhaps is because my lips are already pigmented and the color doesn't come off well. I've seen other reviews from people and it gives them a very pretty and soft rosy tint. But these people had pale lips.

Overall it is the same as you plain old vaseline, it has the same thick consistensy, and gives the same results. So I would recommend this particular version if you have pale lips. Otherwise skip it and buy the plain version.

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Haul

Hello lovelies!

I know I'm super late, but still I wanted to show you the items I bought during black friday and cyber week. For my non-American readers, Black friday is the day a year when stores open late and have the best deals in the year. Lots of items on sale, people go crazy. I've never gone to the stores on Black Friday, crowded places are not my thing. But I shopped online and took the opportunity to purchase Christmas presents for my loved ones, and a few things for myself.

I won't be showing you the presents because I don't want my loved ones to see them... yet.

American Eagle Oufitters

I got these burgundy skinny pants. They were 40% off and they had free shipping.

Juicy Couture

They were also having a 40% off sale with free shipping. So I got this bracelet I've been wanting since forever. I so regret not buying the matching necklace.

H&M

Got his faux fur coat for $16, original price $60.

Basic black shirt for $5.

Black & White skirt, it wasn't on sale, but it wasn't expensive $13

My boyfriend got me this parka. It was 30% off

This olive jeans were only $10

Did you guys got something on black friday?

I ♥ Deals

Hello Lovelies!

I have been recently hooked to Groupon. If you haven't heard of it before, Groupon is a "deal of a day" type of website, they offer discounts and coupons for  about everything you can imagine.

Although there are another websites, like for example Living Social. I personally like Groupon more. I've gotten more deals from there. One time we purchased brunch for 4 people for only $30. It came with 4 entres, a mimosa, and all you can eat desserts. The regular price of  each entree was around $13 each, so it really paid off.

Another time I got a set of styling of Herstyler styling tools. It included a flat iron, the grande curling wand which by itself is $90 on folica.com, and a mini hairdryer. It sells on the website for $400, and I only paid $50 through groupon.

A while ago my boyfriend purchased a groupon to go on a food tour (they take you to different restaurants to try out their best dishes). Regular price is $90 for 2 people and we got it for $49.

My latest purchase from groupon is one of my favorite perfumes. Aquolina Pink Sugar, the 1.7 oz bottle sells for $45 at sephora and they had it for sale for $17 that's including shipping.

There is a ton of deals for restaurants, activities, hair salons. Also they sell goods, like electronics, toys, perfumes, clothes, and even furniture. What I like the most and have yet to purchase one is their "Getaways" I love looking for vacation deals. Many of the foreign destinations have airfare included, along with hotels and some meals. I just need to save up so I can get one!

Most of the times these sites only serve the US, but I looked up and Groupon also serves other parts of the world including Europe, South America and Asia.

Hope you guys give it a try it will save you some money. Sign up here.

I Dyed My Hair

Hello lovelies!

As the title says I finally had the courage to dye my hair. My hair was virgin, I had never died it before except for the dip dye/ombre I did last year. But that was only on the ends of my hair.

I had been thinking about dying it for a long time. My natural hair color is light brown, people would always complement my color. Still I wanted to dye my hair at least once while I'm young.

Natural hair color
I wanted to lighten my hair a bit, but I didn't want to use bleach. Last year I really damaged my hair trying to get platinum hair. So I did a little research and decided to use the Ion Permanent Creme Color High Lift Natural Blonde 12N. This hair dye can lift up to 5 shades. Warning: it stinks and it made my eyes burn even though they never came in contact with my eyes and didn't even used it on my eyebrows.

The instructions say to  mix 2 ounces of hair dye with 4 ounces of 30 or 40 volume developer. I used 30 because I didn't want to go too light.

The instructions say to leave it on for 50 minutes. I only did it for 15 because I saw my hair was light enough. This was the result.

Under fluorescent lights

natural daylight

I'm quite pleased since I wanted hair color similar to Lauren Conrad (not the ombre part)

Cancun Part 5 (not so picture heavy)

Hello lovelies!

I'm really missing Cancun right now. You know here in San Diego is has been very cold and raining. At
night the temperature is º45F, it so cold!!! I know some of you might be like "that's nothing" or "that's summer for me" but here in California we have warm weather all year round. I honestly don't know how people in Canada deal with the cold.

So because I've been reminiscing last summer I will post this las entry about Cancun. To be honest we didn't do much on our last day. I woke up super early (7 am considering I went to bed at 4) We had to pack everything in the morning, and get our plane passes, but we decided to go to the beach for little bit. Still we felt like we needed another beach day, though I'm not the type of person who can stay at the beach all day and do nothing.

This day the water were surprisingly so calm, it was as if we were in the swimming pool. For the first time I actually swam in the ocean. The beach is not very deep, you can walk 100 ft and still water barely reaches your hips.

At this point I was probably the most tanned I've been in my life. My skin looked like Snooki's color, and you know that's bad. I also noticed I gained a lot of weight, the food was too delicious to pass.  So I have just a few beach photos and that will be it.
you see I was super tanned
Well this finishes the Cancun trip, I want to come back so badly hopefully next time I go I can spend more days over there.

Taobao Haul no. 3

Hello lovelies!

I purchased some items from taobao recently. It had been a while since the last time I bought from there. As usual, I used Taobaospree as my shopping service and once again I'm very happy with their service.

Vivienne Westwood Cardigan
Super happy with this, it's not too warm though. Surprisingly good quality for 50 yuan.

 Grey Plaid Skirt
I wasn't too sure if I liked this because I have wider hips and bigger butt than the model on taobao. I thought it made me look super big,  but I found out if I wear it with a baggy top it doesn't look too bad.

Liz Lisa Spring 2013 Floral Pink Skirt

I had seen this on the Liz Lisa website during the spring. But I wasn't sure if it would fit due to my butt and hips so I never purchased it, but it fits great.

Liz Lisa Fall 2013 Pink Shirt.
I originally wanted the shirtin white, but it sold out in both taobao and Liz lisa website. At first I really like it because it is very soft and beautiful but I just washed it once and it is falling apart.

Liz Lisa Winter 2012 White Blouse

I like this shirt for more formal outfits.

Liz Lisa Spring 2011 Cream Shirt

This top is very cute and soft, but I have a feeling it will fall apart in the washer too because the sticking is poorly done.

Outfit of the Day- Kitty!

Sponsored Post

Hello lovelies!

I wanted to show you this adorable cat sweatshirt I got from Oasap.com
It's on sale for only $19.90 you can get it here.

The sweatshirt is very light, made out of a cotton. It's available in four colors, black, grey, white and neon green. I actually like the black one the best because is the "it" color for this fall.  The white one is so nice looking too.
It's great for casual days. I put it together with a grey tartan skirt black tights and black flats. My sister said she really liked the outfit saying "it's something I would wear". If  you've following me for a while you know her and frequently disagree in everything.

I really like the sweatshirt. I actually worn it a couple times. Remember if you like it, you can get it at Oasap. They have a thanksgiving sale 30% off the entire site + freeshipping worldwide if you use the code: blackfriday at checkout.

Etude House CC Crem "Silky" Review

Hello lovelies!

Today I want to review this product that has been available for a while. As many of you know BB creams gained popularity for their multifunctional properties. Most of them whiten, provide SPF and have anti-wrinkle properties. All these while providing medium to light coverage. Now they present an upgraded version of these BB creams.

These upgrades are called "CC cream" which stands for correct and care. It promises to do 8 things.
Anti-aging
Stress Relief
Hydrate
Whitening
Sun Protection
Tone up
Smooth Texture
Luminosity

Etude House sells two different formulas of this product. "Silky" which is the one I have, and "Glow". I decided to get "Silky" because even though my skin is on the dry side of the spectrum, I was afraid "Glow" would make my face look oily rather than glowy.  I was a bit disappointed on the size of the tube, it is much smaller than what it appears to be.

Price ♥♥♥♡♡ I actually got this for free because I won top blogger on Gmarket. It cost around $18 on other retailers. A little pricey considering how small the tube is.
Coverage ♥♡♡♡♡ Unless you have almost perfect skin this will not cover major discolorations on your skin.
Packaging ♥♥♥♥♡ I like the packaging. The tube has a pump, so you don't have to fear your product will get contaminated. I also like that you can tell when you will need a new bottle unlike other products (I'm looking at you Skin79).

Before and After application
Overall ♥♥♥♡♡ Not really my cup of tea, but feels nice on the skin and blends easily. I must say this isn't meant to be replaced as foundation, it is more of a skincare type of product. It didn't cover anything on my face, on my undereyes I had to use concealer. I noticed it does make your skin look lighter, but doesn't control oil too well. So my final verdict is that I would not purchase this product again.

Late Halloween

Hello lovelies!

I'm so behind posts. I've been kind of busy at home, and well as you already know, I don't have a computer right now. *cries*

Anyways I will tell you what we did for Halloween. The week before Halloween we went to a rave. I don't listen to EDM, so I have absolutely no idea who played besides dada life who were the headliners. It was a last minute decision to go, so I only had like 2 hours to put something together to the rave.

I didn't want to spend more money on costumes, and I never keep my halloween costumes, I always sell them to buy a new one. So  I resorted to the most unoriginal, uncreative and last resort costume.... the cat. Seriously, it's so easy, just throw in some cat years with a leopard and black outfit.

My boyfriend went as Thor, and a lot of random people just came up to him to have his picture taken with him. He so many pictures with people we don't even remember.

Anyways, for Halloween night we went to a fairly new club in Downtown called "Bassmnt" I dressed up as Marie Antoinette. Le boyfriend as Thor again, there were some kids on the streets yelling at him lol.

A few people asked me how much I spend in my costume. My first reaction was "that's none of your bussiness" I just think it's rude to ask strangers how much their stuff is worth. Like you wouldn't walk up to someone and say "hey how much did you paid for your car?"

Actually I didn't pay much for my costume. I got the costume for $30 on amazon, the wig was another $30 on amazon as well, but it was a good quality wig. It was not itchy or hot at all. I bought new shoes to match the dress which cost me $10 on DSW (they were on clearance and I had a coupon). So you see not much.
